The Interdisciplinary Joint Urban Design studio ‘COHABIT THE PORT ADELAIDE RIVER’ starts on 10th of April at Hart’s Mill in Port Adelaide. The studio is open to the public from 11 am to 5 pm and it will be closed on Easter Sunday.
Over 20 Master’s students from Australia, France and China will work together on a common Urban Design proposal aimed at re-imagining the Port River urban landscape on the topic: “Cohabit the Port Adelaide River”.
The students come from the University of Adelaide School of Architecture and Built Environment (SABE) and the University of Strasbourg’s School of Architecture (ENSAS).
Students’ works on the Port and an interactive exhibition will be on display: this will include a Virtual Reality experience and the possibility for the public to collaborate with the students and interact with the installation.
The project “Urban landscapes regeneration in northern Adelaide” is a partnership between the Urban Ecosystem design Lab of the School of Architecture and Built Environment of the University of Adelaide with the Government of South Australia Department of State Development.
