Today several researchers of UEL were given the opportunity to undergo training on Infrared Camera. The training was provided by a certified trainer from Fluke Electronics, one of the leading manufacturers of infrared camera. Urvish Thakkar briefed about the thermography principles, thermal imaging in the building envelope, IR analysis and hands-on training on how to use the infrared camera. The infrared camera has the capability to capture and display the thermal patterns on a given surface by converting temperature data to a digital image. In the built environment field, these data are useful for research such as thermal comfort, urban heat island, building inspections, etc.
