THE SHANGHAI CONNECTION

From the 5th to the 14th of April 2018, international master students in architecture, landscape architecture, urban design and geography have worked together in interdisciplinary teams to re-imagine the metropolitan mobility in ‘Shanghai third ring East / Pudong airport’ area according to the Scenario Shanghai 2040 Plan. This Plan seeks to transform Shanghai in a global metropolis focusing on several topics: people centred urbanism, urban decentralization, sustainable high density development, information systems and smart city, sustainable urban mobility, urban ecology.

The students attending the IJUD studio in Shanghai have being awarded with a Certificate of participation and completion released by Tongji University, ENSAS and University of Adelaide. 

The Interdisciplinary Joint Urban Design studio (IJUD) 'THE SHANGHAI CONNECTION' is a project of the University of Adelaide, the College of Architecture and Urban Planning of Tongji University (CAUP), the École Nationale Supérieure d’Architecture Strasbourg (ENSAS) and the Faculty of Geography of the University of Strasbourg (Unistra)  in cooperation with Urban Ecosystem design Lab.
